One of Sandra Lovern’s most treasured possessions is an old leather barrel bag, inherited from her mum, which accompanied the Galwegian on her travels abroad as a traditional musician. “It used to upstage me,” she says.
Today Sandra designs and manufactures the Galway Barrel Bag in Ireland. The original bag has evolved, incorporating veg-tan leather from Tuscany and hardware from an English foundry.
I would love to have my bags passed on and keep the Galway Barrel Bag travelling around the world for generations to come.
